This song was originally conceived and based on an idea that my mother would tell my siblings and me, whenever we were blue or down or things were not going well. She would say to us, “Things usually work themselves out. Don’t worry! Everything is going to be alright!” That message stuck with me. It was a supportive affirmation that helped me keep a more positive view of myself, and what was happening around me. Self-talk is an important part of self-esteem. What we say to ourselves has significant influence on how our day goes, how we feel about our lives, and how we feel about ourselves. I think my mom understood that keeping our thinking positive and optimistic will help to resolve many issues in life.
PS. You were right-on, Mom! **
